|
On
June 8th, we gathered at YMCA at 9:30AM.The plan for that day was to learn a
bit about nature and science.So firstly,we went to Shirakawa park.Where kids
played the bingo game.To get Bingo they had to search many things like red
and yellow flowers,thorny nuts,web,foot prints etc. Kids enjoyed this game
very much.They faced a bit difficulty in Spoting somethings like thorny nuts,
but Mr. Junior helped them in searching those things.Then we went to
electricity museum in Fushimi.Where we had our lunch first and then we
visited the entire museum.It was simply amazing to see the magic of sound
wave and to see how the machenical energy is changed in electric energy.Kids
moved the handle of a machine fastly for a few seconds and a bulb lit up.We
also went to home theater in the museum and played few exciting games
there.Then we saw some useful informations about saving electricity.It was a
great day.Thank you everybody for being there. |

|
On May 11th, we gathered at YMCA
to learn a little bit about India. Mr. Santhi explained many interesting
things about his country during the morning time. During his presentation he
was wearing Indian traditional clothes and he showed a number of pictures of
some of the most important places in India. He also made a detailed
explanation about his country's cuisine, including Indian curry, a dish which
he made for us during the afternoon. Following his presentation, we went to
the park, where we played together. After lunch break we went to the
"Lifelong Education Center" and we used their facilities to cook
Indian curry and some Brazilian sweets (banana and chocolate crepe). Everyone
worked together to make the dishes as well as to clean the facilities
afterwards. Thanks to all, the cooking activity was a great success! |

|
Our
first activity was a trip to Nagoya Aquarium. It was a very fine day and we
could enjoy fine relaxing atmosphere at the park around Aquarium .We saw the
Dolphin show and the movie about the creatures under the sea. As a special exhibition we could see
strange fish and creatures deep in the sea. Among those activities on the
day, our members liked the special corner that they could touch creatures at
the shallow water. Our leaders Jr and Shanti became popular among our
members. To be continued! |
